Public input sought for Merritt’s AAC. The provincial government is looking for feedback on their discussion paper regarding the allowable annual cut for the Merrit Timber Supply area. Merritt, Princeton, Tulameen, Brookmere, Missezula Lake, Douglas Lake, Lower Nicola, Osprey Lake and Allison Lake are all included in the region and account for 1.13 million hectares, with approximately 600,000 hectares available for timber harvesting.
